(1900 US Census for St. Louis, St. Louis County, Missouri)  It could be that Annie came to St. Louis, St. Louis County, Missouri because there was already another family.in St. Louis.  There is a cluster of Welhoelters in the various censuses from 1880 on in St. Louis County, Missouri.  In the 1920 US Census for St. Louis, Annie was 62 and living alone on 22nd Street.  Annie died June 10, 1933 in St. Louis, Missouri and is buried in St. Peter’s Cemetery in St. Louis; Lot No. 53, Section 3, Endowment Certificate No. 126 (e-mail Geli Buchta, 10/9/02)

Children

Mina (Minnie) Emilie Mannigel (William Mannigel Probate Record)

Born October 1, 1889 in St. Louis, St.Louis County, Missouri. (Family Trees, Ancestry.com).  Also listed as being born October 1889 in the 1910 census for St. Louis, St. Louis County, Missouri.

Married George Wladislaw in St. Louis, St. Louis County, Missouri

In the 1920 US Census for St. Louis, St. Louis County, Missouri, Minnie and her husband are living on Juniata Street.  Minnie’s husband states that he arrived in 1912 from Hungary and has filed first papers for naturalization.  Minnie was born in Missouri but since she married a non-citizen, she is now listed as an alien.  George is 32 is a machinist at an engine works.  Interesting that for place of birth for both her mother and father, she put “Manigal.”  Perhaps her husband gave the information and heard the word, “father” and “mother” and thought they were asking for their last name.

Minnie is listed as having died on March 14, 1925 in St. Louis, St. Louis County, Missouri.  She is buried at St. Peter's Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri. (Family Trees, Ancestry.com)  Minnie’s obituary is listed in the St. Louis Obituary Index 1925)

Children of Minnie

There is a George Wladislaw, born March 13, 1925 in Missouri.  He died November 1, 1977 in Los Angeles, California. (California Death Index, ancestry.com).  This is almost certainly the son of Minnie Mannigel and Minnie died in childbirth.
