a)     Mannigal, John

John Mannigal, 93, of Worthington [Nobles County, Minnesota], died Tuesday, Jan. 20, 1998 at Worthington Regional Hospital.  Born March 4, 1904, in Rushmore [Nobles County, Minnesota], he was the son of Fred and Kate Kaster Mannigal.  He married Anna Johnson Sept. 7, 1935 in Worthington.  He attended country school near Rushmore.  After marriage, he worked on a farm at the Olson Creamery, and then at Campbell Soup Co until 1969.  He continued to work part time until 1983 for Worthington Hatchery.  Surviving are his wife, one daughter, Shirley (Robert) Yates, Worthington, one sister, Alda Johnson, Worthington, four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and several step great-grandchildren.  Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Benson Funeral Home, Worthington.  The service will be 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Worthington, with the Rev. James Brassfield officiating.  Burial will be in Worthington Cemetery.
