5/16/1999) Marie’s husband Orville died Sunday April 15, 2001, also in Spring
Hill, Hernando County, Florida.

William H. Mannigel, 55, Route 4, a town of McMillan
farmer, died at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday [August 22, 1979] at St.
Joseph’s Hospital where he was admitted Friday.
Services are set for 10:30 a.m.
Friday [August 24, 1979] at
St. John’s Catholic Church, the
Rev. George C. Passehl officiating. Mr. and Mrs. Frank A. Wesley will provide
music. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven
Cemetery. Pallbearers, all nephews, will
be Jerry and Melvin Mannigel, Roger and David Theisen,
Lyle Weber and Richard Kloehn. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Thursday and until services Friday at Rembs/Kundinger Chapel, where a parish vigil will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
Mr. Mannigel was born Oct. 4, 1923 in the town of McMillan,
where he attended schools. The lifelong area resident was a member of St.
John’s Catholic Church. On June
27, 1962 at Rozellville, he married
Lucille M. Theisen, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Larry and
Marvin, both at home; two brothers, Clifford, Route 4, and Walter of
Marshfield; and two sisters, Mrs. Orville (Marie) Foth
of Spring Hill, Fla., and Mrs. LaVern (Violet) Weber
of Spencer. He was predeceased in death
by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Helmuth (Marie Matthes) Mannigel.

Walter C. "Wally" Mannigel, age 79, of 710 S.
Palmetto Ave., died at 6:12
a.m., Thursday,
Sept. 23, 2004, at Saint Joseph's Palliative
Care, where he had been admitted on Sept.
17, 2004.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday,
Sept. 27, 2004, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The Rev. Jerome G. Gerum and the Rev. Douglas Schalow
will officiate, and Douglas Seubert will be the organist
for John F. Binder and James W. Eckes, vocalists. The
burial will be take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, and grandsons will serve
as pallbearers.
The visitation will be held from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m.
Sunday and from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. Monday, both at the funeral home. A
combined Sacred Heart Parish and Knights of Columbus
Rosary Service will be held at 6:30 p.m.
Sunday at the funeral home.
Wally was born on Feb. 9, 1925, in the town
of McMillan, Marathon County, the son of Helmuth and Marie (Matthes)
Mannigel. He was a 1943 graduate of Stratford High School. He had been
employed at Roddis Plywood Company and which later
became Weyerhaeuser Company in Marshfield until his
retirement. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, hunting,
fishing, camping and carpentry.
He married Mildred A. Stini on Sept. 30, 1944, at Sacred Heart Catholic
Church. She died on Feb. 8, 1999. He later
married Dorothy J. (Schalow) Kroll on May 11, 2002, at Christ Lutheran Church and she
survives.
In addition to his wife, Dorothy, he is survived by three
daughters, Joyce (Richard) Thomer, Marie (Robert)
Weber, both of Marshfield, and Rita
(Charles) Wilke of Mount Vernon, Mo.; two sons,
Jerald (Mary) Mannigel of Auburndale and Mel (Wendy) Mannigel of Sun Prairie; a
son-in-law, James Zoellner and his wife, Joan, of Marshfield. He is also
survived by two stepdaughters, Janell (Richard) Bassler of West Allis and Susette
Kroll of Marshfield; 19
grandchildren, 3 stepgrandchildren and 27
great-grandchildren. He is further survived by a brother, Clifford Mannigel,
and a sister, Violet (LaVern) Weber, both of Marshfield.
He was predeceased by his parents; a daughter, Shirley Zoellner; his first wife, Milly;
a sister, Marie Foth, and a brother, Bill Mannigel.
