Mannigel and mother was Louise Mannigel (maiden name still unknown). They appear as a family in the immigration database
as all coming together to America,
arriving May 14, 1874 from Bremen,
Germany to New
York City on the ship Hansa.

records as A. W. B. Mannigel. (Wisconsin Marriages, pre-1907. Ancestry.com). Frederick was born December 29, 1855 in Germany. In the 1900 US
census for Lowell Township,
Dodge County, Wisconsin,
he is listed as being a railroad laborer.
He was born in 1854 and came to America
in 1870. Frederick
died March 1, 1905 and is
buried in the Reeseville Cemetery
(Reeseville, Dodge County, Wisconsin). Frederick

1900 US Census for Lowell, Dodge County, Wisconsin: Bertha was married to Frederick Karause. Bertha gave her age as 32, born February 1828
in Germany. Both her parents were born in Germany. She says she came to America
in 1871.[She actually came in 1874] She had been married for 15 years [marriage
ca 1885], and had had four children of whom three were living: Alvina (11),
Emil (9), and Gerhard (3).
1910 US Census – cannot find any listing for
Bertha in a 1910 US Census.
Death
Bertha died in 1922.
She is buried in the Reeseville
Cemetery (Reeseville, Dodge
County, Wisconsin)

name as Gerhard Christian Otto Krause, born January 18, 1896, living at Reeseville, Dodge
County, Wisconsin. At the time of filling out the card he was
single and living, he was farming for Albert Lau in Lowell
Township, Dodge
County, Wisconsin. At the bottom of the form, someone had
written a note: Born Jan. 18, 1897 – under age”
In the 1920 census for Reeseville, Lowell Townhip, Dodge
County, Wisconsin, Gerhard is
listed as the son of Bertha Brazil. She is 48 and he is 22 and a railroad
laborer.
Married Meta ca 1923 or 1924. Her maiden name is Brazell (or any of its
spellings) and
she was born ca1905 in Wisconsin. She died in 1934.
In the 1930 census, Gerhard was living with his wife Meta
and daughter Mildred. They did not live
on a farm. Lived in
Reeseville, Dodge County, Wisconsin. He was a mail
carrier on a rural route.
Gerhard died September
15, 1966 in Reeseville, Dodge County,
Wisconsin.
Gerhard and Meta had a daughter named
Mildred who was born ca 1926.
